I became an artist by osmosis. My mother was an artist, so turps was the lingering fragrance in our home, and from an early age, I was surrounded by creativity. Painting allows my busy mind to drift, and my passion for colour is evident in my work. Many of my pieces are opulent, incorporating resin and gold to create bold, vibrant artworks that reflect my love for the beauty in every shade and hue. This creative energy extends into my role as a celebrant, where I craft personal ceremonies with the same passion and attention to detail at Nancy Richardson Artist & Celebrant.com.

A Natural Transition

I became a celebrant because the Covid lockdown left me feeling restless. I'm a social butterfly, and I missed being with people. So..where do lots of people gather to celebrate life’s milestones? ...Weddings, of course!

As a global artist and local celebrant, I was drawn to the idea of weaving together love stories, and the joy of writing these unique narratives captivated me. I love the beauty of bringing two people together, sharing their journey, and crafting a ceremony that’s as special as their love.

Celebrating the Seasons

As a celebrant, I also draw inspiration from my passion for nature and the changing seasons.

For years, I've been celebrating the solstices through gatherings and ceremonies. We are lucky in this country to have all four seasons to enjoy, so why not celebrate them? I also have a special love for rituals like hand fasting and calling in the quarters, which honour both nature and the sacred bond of marriage.
